If you are receiving the call to step into a more meaningful life

…as we navigate the murky territory of late-stage capitalism, do not doubt that the world needs you.

Allow me to guide you with the maps I’ve gathered and created along the way through my own innumerate twists, turns, and detours as you design and embody your own next chapter.

Evolving into a new version of yourself, and creating a new routine, income stream, and even identity is not all sunshine and roses. Just like life in the corporate world, it has many ups and downs, highs and lows.

As Mark Manson* recounts, all opportunities come with their own unique set of problems, and ultimately choosing the problems we are willing to accept and work with is part of any decision that moves us forward in life.

Having worked closely with many creative, sensitive, empathetic, and intelligent women over the past 20 years, I have observed the following.

  • It is next to impossible for women to rise to the top of organisations without having to exile or cut off parts of themselves.

  • Exiling parts of yourself while shrinking others is exceedingly bad for your health.

  • Hidden addictions are rife, be it substance abuse, eating disorders, unhealthy relationships, or the most socially condoned – workaholism and perfectionism.

  • Excellent employees with integrity, commitment, and care for their work are consistently over-shadowed by those who play the game.

  • Neurodiverse employees find it difficult to play the game, because it requires inauthenticity and oftentimes dishonesty.

  • The ‘modern workplace’ is not fit-for-purpose for sensitive, socially-conscious, deeply-feeling people.

  • Such people give too much, care too much, feel too much, and observe too much.

My Background

An undergraduate degree in Modern Languages was my path into the world of business. This was followed in subsequent years by a Post-graduate Diploma in International Business Development from DIT, and a Diploma in Corporate Governance from Smurfit Executive Business School.

Why I care deeply about this work

I believe that life is precious, and that too many of us are leading lives that do not honour our potential, or that of the collective.

As someone who has spent approximately 30 of my years to date on this Earth doing my absolute best to operate in a system that I believe is not conducive to even a fraction of our capacity as human beings, I am determined to create a more joyful, connected, pleasurable, liberated, and easeful existence, and to empower others to do the same.

I wish to bloom into the summer of my life, and to enjoy my daily rituals along with meaningful, impactful work, rather than invest my hard-earned money or time in clinging to a life stage and lifestyle I’ve outgrown.

For sensitive, deep-feeling, and highly creative beings, to be forced to operate in environments designed for the era of the industrial revolution is corrosive not only to our souls, but also to our minds, hearts, and bodies.

We’re not blind to the dysfunction. We see it everywhere. We are oftentimes the victims of its winning players as we find ourselves over-stimulated, exhausted, and detaching from our bodies’ wisdom to survive.

The repetition of these pattern over time,

and the witnessing of others’ suffering, along with the awareness that this is all part of an eco-system that is destroying not just people, but also planet, has motivated my choice to take a step towards a life that allows for ease, creativity, fulfilment, and flow.
